THE VISION: A LOCALLY DEVELOPED TRAINING ESCALATOR

THE CURRENT REALITY: WHAT IS ON OFFER FROM THE THREE HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

The project acknowledges the importance of developing a similar stream for teacher education and training.  However at present this stream of the project reflects issues related to the health and social care fields.  In many Institutions of Higher Education these two departments have been combined to form a single entity, either a school or a department of ‘health and social care’.  This reflects a similar joining of Health and Social Service departments into Health and Social Care Trusts.
